Student Council Volunteering Initiative — Ramadan Iftar Distribution
AAS Students participate in the Kasr Siyam
Al Ain American School is proud to continue strengthening its commitment to community service through meaningful student volunteering initiatives that instill compassion, responsibility, and civic awareness. As part of our Community Involvement Program, the school actively seeks opportunities for students to engage in authentic service experiences that contribute positively to society.
During the blessed month of Ramadan — a time that embodies generosity, empathy, and unity — Al Ain American School was honored to collaborate with the Emirates Red Crescent in a humanitarian initiative to distribute Ramadan Iftar boxes to those in need, as well as to motorists who were unable to reach home in time to break their fast.

On February 26, 2026, members of the Student Council enthusiastically volunteered for this noble cause in Al Ain. The group assembled at the historic Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa House, where they worked alongside Red Crescent teams to prepare and distribute meals across designated locations. Students demonstrated exemplary conduct, teamwork, and empathy as they interacted respectfully with recipients and supported the smooth execution of the distribution process.
This experience provided far more than an opportunity to serve — it was a powerful lesson in humility, gratitude, and social responsibility. Witnessing the appreciation and relief on the faces of those receiving the Iftar meals left a profound impression on our students, reinforcing the values of kindness and selflessness that the school strives to cultivate.

Such initiatives play a vital role in nurturing well-rounded individuals who understand the importance of giving back and contributing to the wellbeing of their community. By actively participating in charitable activities, students develop a deeper awareness of societal needs and the impact of collective action.
The school extends its sincere gratitude to the Emirates Red Crescent for providing this meaningful opportunity and for their unwavering humanitarian efforts across the UAE. It was both an honor and a privilege for our students to stand shoulder to shoulder with an organization dedicated to serving humanity.
Al Ain American School remains committed to expanding its volunteering programs and encouraging students to become compassionate leaders and responsible global citizens. Bringing smiles to countless individuals during this holy month was not only a moment of service — it was a moment of shared humanity, unity, and hope.
Through initiatives like these, we reaffirm our belief that education extends beyond the classroom. It lives in every act of kindness, every helping hand, and every opportunity to make a positive difference in the world.
